We found the staff to be friendly contrary to some of the postings.
We skied the week of January 13, 2008 and it was excellent. The conditions could not have hardly been better. Most lifts were open and although there was not a huge crowd every one that we encountered was courteous and respectful including the snowboarders, again contrary to some of the previous reviews that I read.
There is no Apres Skiing (skiing for drunkards) for those without the courage to tackle a black run without the aide of the drug alcohol, fortunately. The lack of drugged out drunks on the slopes makes for a much more courteous and friendlier atmosphere.
Is Ski Apache Aspen, Durango, or Taos… no and considering Aspen is not Durango or Taos I would suggest that no one should take stock in the negative postings. If you cannot find a positive skiing experience at Ski Apache, you probably cannot find a positive skiing experience anywhere that does not serve the drug alcohol.
Great job Ski Apache!
