It's the truth my mountain brother!! the hidden resorts are were things are kept real. The purpose is to enjoy the Mountain and Snow... no fashion show or who has the coolest gear... just about the Snow.. yes, heard it before about slow lifts, why closed with Snow, Need new owner etc.. it is still a business, it is owned by Santa Fe. they did get a few new good Snow guns... but they have to pull a profit, energy is spent to Santa Fe area before Sandia, same as all years... people it's a business, they have to make sure the employees have a job through season, they can stay open, etc.. stay out of the red, financially. We are so lucky here in the burque to hop onto the tram and get runs in the afternoon!! super fast clean runs, good /real people... they will open this year, we just have to be positive.. not many big cities ha've a resort so close.. give them time, all is being scheduled so everyone is happy.. tons of secret stashed too, take a drive to the top, super long run to Snow line if find it, shuttle up... so many secret stashed there... it's a beautiful mountain.. holds so many secret spots...

I am born and raised new Mexican and now live in co. I still can say that I had some of my best times on super pow days at sandia. diverse terrain. fun tree runs. loop chair two allday. rock quarry kickers over bonfires all night. little mountains are the best. resorts are fun but your hidden gem is the best.
