Pros: Large rooms, cheap, good food in hotel, good skiing, customer service
Cons: Old lift on bunny slopes, run-down, needs major renovating, stringent childcare policies
Recommended For: Family Friendly, Empty Nesters

Only skied two slopes, b/c I was kinda under the weather. From those two bunny/green slopes, they were fairly steep, so I'd say for an advanced-intermediate skier they would be pleasantly surprised. The lifts on those two bunny slopes are old & rickety, & need replacing. As could the decks around the slopes & the Village Haus (menu needs an upgrade, crummy convenience store type food).
Customer service was good as were Legend's grill & the Coffee House. Liked our room which was very large & spacious for our rate. But there were some details around the room, as well as the resort, that were in need of updating.
Make sure you make childcare reservations eight days or sooner in advance. You'll be subject to a "use it or lose it policy"in otherwords you can't cancel your reservation if it's made beyond eight days in advance. Childcare center required me to fill out six pages of documentation. Appreciated the thoroughness, but was a little cumbersome & repetitive. Had to spend an hour coming up with a shot record. Never have been subjected to this at other resorts. Found Durango's childcare center a little more accomodating to military families offering a discount to us, didn't have to fill out such a mountain of paperwork, & more flexible reservation policies. Childcare staff, however, was very competent & kind.
Caters to Texans & Oklahoman's, is very family friendly.
