Conditions the best you are going to get in NJ. The website said epic, but that was a bit of a stretch. As was the claimed 20". More like 14 over 2 days. The staff did an awesome job with everything. Thank you. There were some tense people pushing and cutting trying to get freshies this morning. Look people if you want to get freshies join ski patrol cause on a small mountain that is the only way.
I don't work for the creek.... but Creek employees generally do go above and beyond to make it the best mountain possible. it bothers me that they get so much flack for a bunch of stuff they can't control. they close lifts and facilities for your safety.
I don't work for creek, and ripped them in my 1st post before customer service put a day back on my triple.
all in all good day for small close to hone Mt. I prefer hunter when I have another hour to spend driving.
I have never known any resort to turn away ticket sales. The icing issue with the lifts is because they are detachable. Ice is a safety issue if they do not attach properly. This is why many places sport storage sheds or large overhangs and they store them during storms to minimize downtime. It is sheeting ice right now so do not be surprised if there are similar issues tomorrow.
david andriani down below.. he must be work for mt. creek.. in my opinion as normal visitor.. mt. creek alway over sell their ticket to make over crowd.. and this year they also have ski race school south even add more traffic
Tomorrow is going to be hella sweet! Most mountains up north are closed by 4pm... So a closure in the evening is no big deal. And $70 for 3 visits is a steal even if two of your visits get cut a little short due to conditions beyond your control... And mountain creek still took great care of you brah.
Epic day here today. Glades are where it is at. Place is pretty much empty. Almost a ghost town. We are going to duck the ropes later on before the avalanche danger gets to high. I heard the new owners are putting in a helipad for some real backcountry adventures.
