I have been going to this mountain for a few years now and i love it. season passes are cheap plus they have lots of deals to try and make things cheaper. the terrain park is awesome. every year something new but still with the old as well. jumps can range from small to massive and closed off for pros. all though id say the mountain is really more for intermediate riders, advanced can have a lot of fun. even the bunny hill is great for advanced riders to have a fair race to the bottom. the lodges are nice, deigned for younger riders though. they have a lot of movie nights and parties throughout the season as well.
unfortunately for the downhill riders there's only 1 double black diamond. also most of the staff are just kids who treat people lousy. even seeing them off work on the mountain doesn't change their superiority complex despite their lack of skill. some of the older employees aren't so bad i fell near the bottom once and they were their in seconds to make sure i was ok. it was just a minor fall where i wasn't paying attention but i guess it looked bad. then theirs the ice. mountain creek is on a CREEK. trails are built over little waterways so ice is unavoidable. but really most days i go i dont have much problem with ice. its usually little patches that are easily avoided. what the staff needs to do is revoke some passes of some of the guests who keep this place from being family friendly and have a stricter hiring process for younger employees.
