Terrain, closeness to NYC
Long lines, lots of bratty teens/20s
I was pleasantly surprised by the terrain here. For a place so close to NYC it has some decent runs and a good variety. The downside, in my view as a skier, is that they've dedicated the entire southern portion of the resort to terrain parks. There are lots of nice runs over there but you're constantly skiing around terrain garbage. And the fact that they have so much dedicated as terrain park also attracts a ton of young, obnoxious snowboarders. The day I was there the place was overrun by bratty teens and 20-somethings (and a few bratty older folks, too) cutting lines and skiing/boarding recklessly. It really detracted from the experience. I would go back on a weekday though.
