Our first day at Wildcat was disappointing. We went on two for Wednesday, paid for two adults and one free child under 5. After paying and going to the learning slopes we found that the lift was out of service and the front desk knew about it. Got our next day pass and returned. Despite the initial disappointment, the day we skied was really nice. Only the lower mountain was opened due to lack of snow. The terrain that was open was well groomed and mostly blue runs with a few black.. The blues at Wildcat compare to black diamond runs at other near by resorts. The views on the slopes are astounding. Mt. Washington is just across the valley and you get to watch the weather develop there. We will return to Wildcat on our next trip. The locals all go there to ski and get away from the crowds. This is a definite must do on a ski trip to New Hampshire
