travel from NC to spend the week skiing in NH with the family starting at waterville on tue.. Great place with easy access from I-93. Not a lot of mountains to climb like in NC. Good selection of slopes for every skill level.. nice easy stuff and intermediate slopes for teh more advanced.. the black stuff was nice was well.. Got a good deal on ticket from resort we are staying at Cold Springs Timeshare Resort in Ashland NH.. Lot of area in the lodge to put stuff and food was on par with other places we have skiied in the past..
Due to warmer temps, march 9, the left side of the area, looking at he trail map, get more sun and slushes up sooner than right side trails.. so I was spending more time on better side.. the place has nice runs that combined result in a nice long run from top of quad lifts to bottom with a nice steep and non steep section to make it all worth whiile..
overall rate this place a solid 8 of 10.. i hate the five stars system. not subjective enough..
they scan your ticket every time on bottom lifts.. ones you access mid section they do not..
if you get a chance i recommend this place especially wilth kids and adults of lower skill levels..
