Pats Peak is a good place to bring the kids to teach them how to ski. The place is definitely geared toward families and the terrain is generally easy. You'd have a really hard time getting in over your head. The lifts are slow but the lines were very short the day we were there. It seems like most folks pack a lunch and the base lodge we were in was packed at lunch time. We did check out the bar at the end of the day. The place was packed. The live band was really good and there was a nice selection of local brews. However, children are allowed in the bar, which always bothers me. Kids shouldn't be in bars - there were plenty of other places for families to go.
