Can you ski 100,000 vertical feet in one day? You can find out if you take the Challenge at Wildcat Mountain on March 5th. The 4th Annual 100K Day will be held that day to raise money for the Make A Wish Foundation. On January 21st Gunstock will host the New England premiere of the 2007 Diana Golden Cup race series. Waterville Valley opened this past weekend with skiing and riding on intermediate and advanced terrain only. They became only the second area to open in New Hampshire this season as the winter so far has seen unseasonably warm temperatures. Snowmaking has allowed the area to open the White Peak Express Quad and the High Country Double for skiing on just one upper mountain trail at this time. Full Article
