Bretton Woods fields a 1,500 foot vertical drop and 434 acres of terrain with nine lifts serving 101 trails and glades. This is a family favorite, very modern in style, and is famous for hosting the International Monetary Conference of yore in the Mount Washington Hotel. The resort has invested in snowmaking pumps and guns, and a new groomer this season. Nearby, is The Mount Washington Cog Railway Ski Trains. The 135-year old steam engines take skiers and riders part way up Mount Washington to groomed trails running parallel to the train trestle.
Centrally located within a short distance to more than a dozen local attractions and nine restaurants. Dining varies from four-course, elegant dining to casual pubs. Eighteen thousand acres of National Forest surround the 1,200 acre resort and a tax-free outlet shopping is 30 minutes away. Also available: The Red Carpet Ski and Snowboard School and season-long programs, like Team Bode, named for the resort's Director of Skiing and World Champion skier Bode Miller. Nursery.
