Great glades for all abilities, family friendly, not too steep
non-gladed trails are very easy

Full review

Bretton Woods has great family terrain on its non-gladed trails. They are wide, great for cruising, and go easy on beginners. This is a great mountain for families who want a great time for kids and parents alike. The ski school is also good. The problem with the non-gladed trails is that there is hardly a difference between greens and blues. This could deceive beginners into thinking they are intermediates. But there is a huge difference between blues and blacks. The glades however, are where Bretton Woods really shines. There is a glade for every ability level. Need a mellow, sparse glade? Check out Peppersas, Cherry Mountain Slide, or Wild West. Need a moderately steep challenge? John Grave's Glades, Boundary Line Glades and Minahan's Ridge are for you. Need a little jump? You'll love Cliff's Cliff and Among the Clouds. Need a moderately narrow trail? Try out Blowdown Alley or Millenium Maze. Need a super narrow run? Old Man is a good choice. The truly hardcore will love Mr. Moose, Lazy Man's Inferno, and much, much more. Overall, Bretton Woods is perfect for families.
