I had my best day of skiing in 2010 at Bretton Woods. It was a beautiful spring day with crystal clear skies and views over the gorgeous Mount Washington Hotel to the mountain itself. The trails were immaculate. It's a great resort for intermediate skiers and they've been opening up more advanced terrain as well. It is a large area with lots of lifts. Even though the base area felt very busy the lift lines weren't bad and the trails often seemed wide open. Sometimes it was a little hard to find a particular trail. They could add more signage. The bar upstairs in the base lodge was not crowded at lunch time. The food was very good and they have a nice beer selection but it was a little spendy. I will definitely be back to Bretton Woods next winter. Bretton Woods has a Sunday afternoon local's special for residents from certain NH counties: ski or ride for just $12 after noon on non-holiday Sundays.
