  • Upward Bound at Diamond Peak

    In a sort of an antidote to its popular Last Tracks program, Diamond Peak will unveil its inaugural Uphill Race on March 31. Participants will make their way up to Snowflake Lodge by any means possible except motorized – i.e., snowshoes, skis, skins, etc. – and then partake in a continental breakfast with pastries, coffee and hot chocolate.   • Dummy Down at Mt. Rose

    It's time for the annual Mt. Rose frolic known as the Dummy Downhill. Participants in the April 7 event can have neither brain nor pulse. You'll witness pure lunacy as inanimate speed demons careen down the Show-Off run in front of the main lodge.   • Gem of a Deal at Diamond Peak

    From now until the end of the season Diamond Peak is offering deep discounts on next year's season passes. For as low as $278 for adults $96 for kids, you can get a 2007/08 pass and use it this season until the lifts close in mid-April; you'll also get a couple of lift tickets, which you can pass along to some needy rider, that are good until the end of next season.   • Drag Racing at Mt. Rose

    It's time for the annual Ladies' Day frolic at Mt. Rose. Guys dressing in drag can ride the lifts for 10 bucks on March 17, if they dare. Mt. Rose hosts its annual Bud Light Ladies Day. Guys who show up in drag get throwback Ladies Day lift ticket prices and a chance to compete for cash prizes in the Beauty or the Beast pageant and/or the spectacular "Drag race." Full Article
