As a local, I ski Diamond Peak when someone gives me free tickets. It is ok for free tickets, but not worth paying for if you are anything more than an intermediate skier on vacation from outside the area. It is convenient to Incline Village, and locals can ski for an hour or two and call it a day. Great for families. May be a good choice when high winds or clouds affect other Tahoe resorts.
