Have skiied the Meadows since mid-70's, my kids raced there. I am expert skier, was a lot more fun to ski until about 3 years ago, congestion at lifts, poor attitudes of staff generally, lunch experience: not so good. Stopped skiing there spring 2009. Best skiing at margins: bowls off of mt hood express, heather, absolute magnitude, woods runs off of HERM, run from top of mountain to bottom of shooting star lift (great training for canadian powder skiing). However, the great old intermediate runs -- north and south canyon, runs off of daisy , shooting star and HERM are poorly groomed when they are not snow parks. Lion's head is not encouraged, nor is Ladyslipper. And I am not too happy about the prices of the season passes either.
