I have not skied there since renamed Whitefish Mtn Resort. Big Mtn is usually foggy during the winter months, maybe 25% of the time it is clear enough to enjoy the incredible views. There is a wide variety of terrain, generally something for everyone. While there is some descent terrain on the SE portion of the mountain, I don't like is the long catwalk (Russ's Street) back to Chair 1 - I'd rather be skiing than riding chairs and tucking catwalks. It's also a bit time consuming to get out of Hell Roaring and back to the top. Avoid the north side - short runs followed by a long run out to the lift. At least there is a high speed lift back there now, it was a really long ride before with very little skiing.
