Expansive Terrain, Not Crowded, Great Snow
Tough to get to from the North East (Multiple Flights, etc)
At times there were more people working on the mountain than skiing. It was wide open where my skiing partner and I were the only skiers on the trail, working knee to thigh deep powder. There is plenty of intermediate terrain and the glades and back country are off the hook. The occasional dynamite blast over in the Hellroaring basin certainly kept it interesting. An amazing Telemark mountain, but the Alpine rocks as well. The cross country skiing is quite underutilized, but with a little attention could be world class. I hope to get out there again. It would sure help if they could get some more affordable flights into Glacier airport.
