Excellent up high. Lots of great tree skiing in the nuts. Just deep enough to cover the crust. Far East was fantastic. Skied out Angel Face. Still pretty good coverage but had to dodge some bare spots. Run out was getting pretty bare but made it with no diggers. Do not ski West Ridge. Too much sun. Rock city.
"Best ski day of the year" according to locals, had 'em lined up early to cut fresh lines in the 12-20" of Pow. Made folks forget about lousy year … groomers should make for great skiing tomorrow, and hope warmer temps don't ruin it fast.
Skied the past 3 days here, variable conditions each day. Weekend was warm and soft open to close. Monday started cold & icy with snowfall in the PM. Hoping for some fresh the next couple days. Icy runs are getting dangerous.
Ok, so I posted yesterday that conditions were pretty awful. Well they were much better today. A little firm this morning but the snow came consistently all afternoon and more is expected overnight. Great skiing this afternoon. Things are looking up at Big Sky for the next few days!
It's coming down! A couple inches predicted overnight - first flakes a bit wet this afternoon, but were filling in the bare patches and the hard pan. Morning was firm to icy. Afternoon pretty good, considering - loose snow atop hard.
