Great conditions yesterday. Blue bird all day, no lines, except for tram. Kinda sketchy up at the top, lots of rocks, some hard to avoid, a bit crusty, and of course steep! Snow over near moonshine was incredible. 5 to 8 expected tonight, giddy up!
How to have a fun day at big sky: drive to slope, click into skis, hop on a lift, ski to bottom, ski to different lift, repeat last three steps as many times as you can. Make sure to remember your on snow & having fun.
Big sky has amazing snow on all north facing slopes. Most runs off the tram are excellent, but many rocks to get to them. Challenger lift is good, stay at high altitude or in the trees. Just had a fantastic 3 days.
There's no doubt that this has been a challenging year for snow throughout the west-Big Sky included. Remember that this is an enormous mountain with slopes facing north, east, and south. For the best conditions think about what the sun and wind are doing to the snow.
