Great bang for the buck-no crowds-but dont tell anyone!
Whats not to like -
What a great mountain! We are mostly intermediate and do not get board on this mountain though our steep and deep friends love the backside, we enjoy all the nice long cruising runs.
They are well maintained and the lifts are in very good shape. You cant beat the food in the charming rustic day lodge and prices are very reasonable. Its a 'no wonder' when I ride the lifts with people from Bozeman and other areas close to Big Sky that they come to this mountain. Great bang for the buck for a family - has kinder ski, bunny slope and a few nice greens for training the newbies. Views are spectacular of Georgetown Lake from the top. Plan to spend the night in Philipsburg and enjoy the brewpub for apres ski or get a free beverage with lift ticket at Sunshine Station. Food and wine list at Silver Mill are surprisingly good for this small town.
