Year in and out Consistently good snow accumulation throughout the winter. Lots of fun terrain and tree runs for all skill levels plus ridge runs that can be hiked to..
Small lift lines, nice lodges excellent and fun terrain!

I am 37, I’ve skied here since I was 11. I have skied all over the world, at resorts that cost 4 times as much. Even if the price was the same: Bridger is the best. Lots of people come and think it’s just ok. They didn’t take a single real run. Didn’t traverse when they should have. The glory is hidden in plain sight, 20 feet to the left or right, you’ll get an average run. Befriend a local and have them show you. I rarely wear my avalanche transceiver, I prefer to just ski, not ski and hike. If you don’t have an avalanche transceiver lots of the terrain is off limits. You probably wouldn’t want to go there anyway unless: go on the high traverse, was it easy? If so you’re ready for the ridge and schlasmans (transceiver territory). Parking lot is often close to full but still almost no lines, I guess people like to sit in the lodge. I am better at skiing than 99% of people on any given mountain. Except at bridger, I’m only in the top 10%. This is a place to get good. The best side country in the world means you leave resort boundary and are now back country. If you want to learn how to do backcountry safely bridger is the best place to learn in the entire world. Given an opportunity to go to big sky for free or bridger, I and my friends would pick bridger, because we know the mountain. If you don’t know where you are, Big Sky with wide long trials where 20 feet to left or right is basically the same as where you are now is preferable (I know both big sky and bridger like back of my hand). Bridger has lots of nooks and crannies, difficult to compare to other mountains, but crested butte, CO and Red Mountain, BC are the two I find most similar. You 3 bars to pick from for apres skiing
The best side country skiing in the world. Some of the best expert terrain anywhere
Mountain is very technical, you need to know nooks and crannies and when to traverse to get good run in. Bozeman is not at the base.

If you are looking for local, Bridger has it. While it may have average snow and size, it really strives with terrain and vibes. Bridger is very family friendly and probably has the best bang for the buck as any resort out there. However, due to Bozemans extreme growth, prices have started to rise and crowds have began to grow. Also the lodges are decent. The most unique thing about it is the cold smoke.
Tons of expert terrain, unbeatable vibes, and very family friendly.
Relatively slow lifts, hike to terrain, and it can get crowded.

purchased a 3 day pass and enjoyed the runs a great deal. As East Coast skiers, we took lessons, actually a tour of the mountain. Well worth it. Barely any lift lines and rarely a stopped lift. Nice open fields trails, some back woods runs, steep blacks and the areas you can hike up into. It snowed our second day there, which made it wonderful. Lodge food was above average. Overall this is a great gem of a mountain at an affordable price.
Great mountain for coming out west
not a lot of fresh powder

For the money, can’t beat this place. Gets lots of cold smoke and powder. During the week, on most days, few people and real chilled atmosphere. Has a real community ski hill feel.
Nice varied terrain for all levels.
Crowds on weekends and powder days.

Easy 25 minute ride from Bozeman , great dive bar located at bottom of mountain if you don't want to partake in the one's run by Bridger. Really no lift lines except once in awhile at one of the feeder lifts at the base and that is only when half day pricing starts .Expert and ridge runs are spot on as long as your hooked up with a transponder. Lots to do in town ,always have a great time there !
Reasonably priced ,
