Mittenwald Ski Resorts FAQ

Located between the Karwendel and the Wetterstein mountain range, close to the Austrian border, is the interesting and unusual winter sports region Mittenwald. Mittenwald’s ski area Dammkar possesses Germany’s longest slope, a 7 km long hillside that is not prepared, just for snowboarders and free riders so you can find lots of powder snow here. You have an impressive view over the nature preserve and the high mountains if you ride the Karwendelbahn up to an altitude of 2244 m. In the region’s second ski area, the Skizentrum Kranzberg, the Kranzberg-Sessellift takes you up to an altitude of 1200 m where numerous pistes start. You can find slopes ranging from easy to difficult here.
