The only reason i came here is because the College season pass is 99 bucks... I feel really bad for the people that pay 45+ per day to come here because it is a RIP OFF!!! Half of the lifts are never open and the price is the exact same on the week days as the weekends without half of the runs available. If they reduce the price is it a mere 5 dollars which dose not make a difference. Afton Alps is only 28 dollars during the weekday and may close only a few runs....
The terrain park ( which is some rails ) is SOO far away from any chair lifts, that you actually have to work to get to the park and then work again to get back up.. no tow ropes at all... If they had a tow rope i MIGHT concider coming back.. Oh yeah, If you like to ski/snowboard at night, Welch has only like 10 lights on the enitre resort. You keep going in and out of dark spots and cannot see a thing!!! waste of money!!!
The season pass is compairable to the close by Afton Alps season pass which is about 40 dollars more per year but has 10 more lifts, 20+ more runs, Larger space, rails all over the place, more staff, and a friendly enviroment. No matter where i choose to go, i still have to drive 1 hour to get there, so i will deff be choosing Afton Alps next year
Overview: If you want a tarrain park, good lifts, rope tows, more runs, and basically not be completly dissapointed because all of the money you just spent. GO TO AFTON APLS!!!
Sorry Welch Village but you have really got to sit down and re-think your approach on prices because there are superior resorts in the area that charge less with more things to offer... you do the math!
