Groomed runs are in good shape; but many runs aren't open yet, including most of the most challenging runs. Lotsgoodcruising.

Took my sons out Sunday, the new 6" was great but the made snow was even more impressive. Can't wait to see more lifts running, but the Epic folks keep impressing me more and more.

Cold early morning turned into beautiful day on Saturday 4/9. slopes were in great shape with several days of snow this past week. Unfortunately the Lutsen ski area does not honor the lift ticket prices published on their own website. They were advertising buy one day get the next day free as a special end of season rate. However, when you go to the ticket counter they were charging full price for both days. SHAME on you Lutsen! Out of frustration I drove home instead of spending money in their community for lift tickets, food at the ski hill, dinner out at local restarants or a hotel room for the night.

Wednesday rain exposed a lot of dirt, as well as some grass and rocks. New snow Thursday countered the decay--to an extent. because it rained more too (and the day ended sunny after starting with dense fog, offering a gamut of conditions, but really a great day, as long as you had water resistant clothes). With the amount of snow left and the favorable coming weather, conditions should be ripe for next two weekends.

Still a lot of snow left and good skiing/snowboarding. There are dirt spots showing here and there reminding you that the season's almost over. With temps in low 40s after 12, snow slow or mashed potatoes on many runs in the afternoon. Which also makes The Plunge, Free Fall, Adrenaline ice the next day. Border/ski cross course is a blast. Lutsen is great but the terrain park set ups this year are weak and minimal.

Pretty good snow coverage but very wet. Traverse back to lift from adrenaline/free fall/plunge is super sticky, wouldn't recommend hitting those

Fantastic groomed snow after 12" last week. Longest line less than a minute on Moose. March is the best time at Lutsen. There are two seasons in Minnesota in March...spring in Mpls and spring skiing in Lutsen
