Full review

Lutsen is broken into four different ski areas: Moose, Ullr, Eagle and Mystery. Ullr is the beginner hill with easy green and blue runs. Mystery is an intermediate hill with three very long runs that are more natural conditions through treed runs. Eagle is mostly advanced skiing with a concentration of black and double black runs. Moose is the traditional ski hill area designed for intermediate and advanced skiers. My family spent most of our time skiing on Moose in the morning and the other hills in the afternoon. Moose has some of the best combination of steep and long runs. It also had the best snow conditions compared to the other hills. The kids enjoyed the tree runs on Ullr and Eagle the most. The night life at Lutsen is almost non-existent but you can drive up to Grand Marais for better options. Customer service at our hotel wasn't great but the people at the resort were great. We placed our kids in lessons the first day and they had a great time Overall it was a great skiing vacation for the entire family. We enjoyed the skiing and the great view of Lake Superior. Can't wait till we get back.
