I have a season pass so I haven’t had to experience the online process this year. I can leave my house and go skiing over my lunch hour! How great is that?! The employees are friendly and knowledgeable and worked hard to enforce CoVID protocols to ensure they didn’t get shut down. There will always be that person or group of people who don’t want to follow the rules. Most employees are kids doing their best to manage adults. Would love a better board to watch racing from the Milk Run Cam. Sometimes it isn’t working or the color used to display names isn’t visible. More close parking would be great...maybe a ramp??
Great local skiing
Needs a larger parking lot

I race for buck hill and it has a very good program. I’ve done park before there and it’s not too shabby. Employees are very good. I go there everyday because it’s great for locals, racers, terrain park dudes, and beginners.
Close by to my house. Have gone 60 times this season.
Expensive if you go only once

Would have given it zero stars Don’t waste your time or money
Can’t think of one
No parking and violating Covid19 recommendations

For some reason, we were unable to get tickets online. Emma, who was working the ticket line was soooooo helpful! In addition to helping so many others, she was there for us through the grueling process. It was very cumbersome process‼ It took us 30 minutes to enter all the info. It was 22 degrees out‼‼‼...but we had to stay outdoors due to COVID...and we were okay with that. However, it was very frustrating and upsetting to see and hear others, once we were inside, able to just walk up and ask for lift tickets. No one was enforcing mask requirements either...and we saw others eating inside...and leaving huge messes. Why have COVID-19 regs if you are not enforcing them? I was disappointed how dirty the bathrooms were on the second day we skied Buck Hill
Emma, working the ticket office line, was phenomenal ‼
Not enforcing the COVID-19 mask wearing‼

Terrain park sucks. Very sketchy, unsafe and setup is very weird and simply annoying.

Coming from California, where you drove hours to get to a mountain, this is incredibly close, though the quality can't compare. This will be our 2nd year skiing in MN and coming from CA the cost and convenience can't be beat. we get to ski, have 1/2 day prices available, and can afford it.
nice for kids and old farts
apres ski lacking, excellent for kids and families

I have skied Buck Hill for 30 years now. This year I have skied 5 times over the past 3 months and the snow condition is terrible, the worst snow in 30 years. Buck Hill has built an icy mogul field that no one uses, giant jumps that take up half of their best slopes. I think Buck Hill has lost their way and has forgotten about their customers!
Close to the metro
Terrible snow conditions

I love the ski area due to the location is much closer then say, Welch or Afton. The bathrooms are on th bottom floor of the chalet which it’s hard to climb the stairs in ski boots, the owners are making nice changes.

Main chalet is in disrepair. Bathrooms stink do to age. They have tried to do a few upgrades but it's like putting earrings on a pig. Sad to say. This area has potential to be so much more. It's hard to justify buying a season pass here do to the above. I know of many who have gone to other areas to buy season passes. For the racers it's fine but families want a nice place to hang out etc... this is not it. Hope Buckhill sees this and considers changes.
Location, ski school, race program, ski challenge leagues.
General condition of facilities. Ticket prices.

Buck is the home town favorite of MPLS. It has a great race history and is a nice place to ski with little ones. New owners have made nice improvements to the bar area and the food is good and well priced. I think their terrain parks are the best in the metro.
