Ok, so I've heard Timber Ridge and Bittersweet get a hard time from folks who have been up north or out west... but if you live in SW Michigan you can be out west in a 45min car ride - so quit complaining! There are some pretty good trails here I thought that Oak was short but comparable to 'blues' I'd been on in Colorado. Sycamore and lumber jack were good for beginners, but crowded at times... On the down side I wouldn't expect to be entertained all day here 4-5hrs perhaps. Also, the equipment rental was bad, the skis were ok, but the boots were old and the poles were laughable - i don't think there were to matching or straight in the whole rack! All in all, it beats not skiing... but don't expect to be wow'd by the terrain and you'll have fun.
