Full review

The ratings are based on SW MI as we don't live in the rockies. Timber Ridge has about the same veritical as the rest of the SW MI resorts with a few more runs than Swiss Valley and about the same as Bittersweet. Bittersweets runs on average may be a bit longer. As other reviewers metioned TR does have two runs that are by far the steepest in the area - though they are not long. There are a couple of nice wide open runs that are great for beginners. What really sets it apart is the very large day lodge and free skiiing for kids 7 and under. If you have kids 7 and under there is no reason not to come here. Especially considering that Bittersweet charges full fare for kids over 6 and only half off for kids under 6. The staff and lift operators were very friendly and the day lodge has a nice view of the slopes. On sunny days there is a nice deck to hang out on. If you are limited to SW MI it is definitely worth a trip here.
