  Best terrain in the Lower Peninsula

  Schuss is great / nice resort

  Pros: You name it they have it

  Cons: Not much

  I find Shanty Creek to be in the top 3 ski hills / resorts in Michigan. The place has it all, fine dining, lodges overlooking ski hills, great downhill terrain, superb lift... Full review

  Still a winner

  Pros: Friendliest lift operators in the midwest

  Cons: No day lodge, few lockers

  Did Shanty Creek Friday 2-20. Snow was great and lift operators were very friendly. Waitress's in Ivans pub were terribly slow though. Nice resort, good terrain parks, nice Full review

  Pros: Family friendly, economical, good mix of trails

  Cons: Looking a little worn in parts, crowded from 11-4

  We greatly enjoyed our trip to Shanty Creek. The 3 days of snowfall resulted in excelland skiing conditions. We found that we could ski onto the lift or had very short waits... Full review
