Nice Little Midwest Resort
It's Not Jackson Hole

Full review

If you live in the midwest, Schuss Mountain is an ACE in the hole. It has a nice variation of runs, the people are super friendly, and my family and I have had some great ski and board days here (we're season pass holders). We also ski and board out west, and Schuss is not a BIG place, compared to the likes of Jackson Hole, but it is fun, close by, and has EVERYTHING you need for a family trip-- and ESPECIALLY if you are just starting out as a boarder of skier. Oddly enough, the best powder day we had last year wasn't at a big mountain resort-- but at Schuss! A foot of pow on a week day morning, and maybe ten other skiers on the entire mountain. EPIC. They have pretty good terrain parks for the flying monkey types, and there is good food and drink in nearby Bellaie (Try Shorts for some primo micro brew and LuLu's for great Bistro food). If you are a beginner skier, a mellow cruiser, a terrain park show off, or looking to find a resort that you and your party can learn to ski-- Schuss is it.
