Very fun time skiing at Nubs Nob. I am going to compare this resort to the other resorts around Lower Michigan. There is 2 mogul runs which are icy so they are not very good. They groom every run before night skiing and groom them very good in the morning so you never have to worry about running into ice. You almost never get bored when skiing at nubs nob. Lifts - Great Nubs has 9 lifts with almost 2+ lifts to get to every run. Every run ends up at the bottom of your lift so you dont ever have to cross country ski. They do not have any high speed lifts but with only 2 hardly used doubles the lines move quickly. The lift lines are not very long but since nubs seems to be sort of a local place you do not get as many crowds. Greens - Average If you want to ski a long green run there are only about 3-4. The only long runs are Easy Mile, Pleasant View, and Ramblewood. If you are just getting started Big Time seems to be the place to go. Blue Runs - GREAT!!! Nubs gives a very large selection of Intermediate Runs Southern Comfort and Bayview are always in great condition there are lots of fun blue runs on Pintail Peak. The blue runs on the front are Sno Pro, Dories Bowl, and Revelry which are 3 great runs that all end up in the same general area. Black - Average The black runs are not very steep which you dont usually expect out of a black... Most of the blacks start at the top of the hill though so you get more black than perhaps Olympic and K-2 at Boyne HIghlands where you where it takes forever to get there Double Blacks- Not very many The only double blacks at Nubs are the Glade Runs. The glades seem to be much safer than other glade runs(bayview and southern comfort glades have almost no roots or twigs). You can get to all the glades off of a lift or rope tow with the exception of the tower glades. Park- Very Good Nubs gives you about everything with there terrain parks. The cross course is located by the brown lift near Pleasent view which is a blast. They have a begginer rail park on the other side of the purple lift which is usually not crowded at all so you dont have to worry about wiping out. The big park has a line of about 5 jumps in a row to the left and then about 4 rails. The right side has all rails. Mainly boxes.
