    Challenge Mountain, a non-profit organization whose mission is to help physically impaired, mentally challenged and at-risk youth through outdoor therapeutic recreational activities, has teamed with nearby Boyne Mountain to create a satellite program expanding amenities and length of the snowsports season offered to its participants.     The Michigan Tech Winter Carnival, which takes place February 7-11 in Houghton, draws thousands into town from surrounding communities and Upper Peninsula ski areas to see the larger-than-life ice sculptures created by the college students. Full Article
