Ok Blacks, Cool Terrain Park, Easy Blues
Not Enough Chairlifts Running
In a few words, this is great for local skiing. Good terrain park, easy blues for beginners, nice high speed quad lift, and nice lodge. This is pretty nice, except for the boringly easy blacks, the ancient slow chairlifts (not the high speed, but that is the only one), and never enough chairlifts are running. The best and hardest blacks are on the far edge of the hill, but the chairlift is never running over there. So all the black diamond skiiers will have an ok time, not as much fun as the freestyle skiier. Tree skiiers, look up north a few hours, because you will be dissapointed with the lack of powder, the lack of big trees do swerve through, and the lack of long rides down. It is still lower Michigan, so you are not getting a big mountain in the deal. Sorry! The whole area is fenced in, and chairlifts only go up one side of the mountain. So if you want to go out of bounds without a hike, dont do it here. Try Caberfae or Boyne for good tree skiing on some good pow.
