Snow, Challets on top and bottom, long wide runs.
Weak nightlife, lines can get long
I've been to Indianhead several times. They usually have nice snow, lake effect is common. This is a nice place to come for the day. The runs are wide, hilly, and long. They have to be the longest in the midwest. I would rate this as the best skiing location and terrain in the upper midwest. There are a couple t-bar lifts on the ends of the resort, they can be a big challenging to use, especially with a snowboard. None of the girls in the groups I have went with could manage to get to the top on them. Don't worry though, they are easily avoided if you know where they are. The terrain park is a bit of a pain to get to, very flat path. This place seems to always have more people than neighboring Big Powderhorn, and the lift lines do attest to this. The greens here are blue/green, so if you have beginners, they will be challenged. Could use a bit of updating to the lift chairs, but overall a great place.
