Full review

I've skied at Cannonsburg for upwards of 25 years ONLY because they are so close to Grand Rapids--they appear to follow the general rule that Beggars cant be choosers. In all these years skiing there, they have done ZERO improvements. They claim to have 18 slopes--untrue. literally, they have more like 10 at most. Their website is useless. They falsely report slope conditions, BEWARE!! Chairlifts are slow and antiquated. Resort is expensive considering the lack of amenities. slopes are packed with people, lifts stop every few feet up the hill because people dont know how to ride them......last week they re-opened after a thaw and there was dirt and grass on the slopes---very unprofessional and dangerous. If you want good skiing..you'd be better served to ski at Crystal, Boyne or Nubs. They are truthful in advertising and conditions, and they dont operate by the notion to screw their customers out of every penny they got simply becasue they are the Only game in town. If you have no choice, or little time to travel--then take cannonsburg for what it is---NOT MUCH. The slope layout is poorly laid out, the parking lot is treacherous, the lifts are inadequate, but the cost continues to rise. I ski there only out of desperation.
