I just went up to Blackjack after the New Year. It had rained a few days before, so my hopes weren't high for the snowboarding. I was so impressed with how they had the slopes ready the very next day. By the 2nd day, they were perfectly groomed. I head out west once or twice a year...and Blackjack is as close as it gets. I've been all over the midwest, and I usually leave so disappointed. More time waiting in line and on the lift, then it actually takes to get down the slopes...not here.
