As a long time Powderhorn skiing family, we were most dissapointed in our last stay. Skiing was still good, but the attitude of the whole place has changed from a fun family getaway to a place with an attitude. Service was slow at the Snowflake, and the Caribu was no good at all, slow service and cold food. From now on, we will make different choices as to where we dine and drink. The kids were dissapointed that the did not have Saturday night skiing, as advertised. The weather was good, mid teens and no wind. They said it was "to dangerous". Seems like a money decision to us. They also did not have their new tubing park open, even on a nice Saturday. Kids were dissapointed to say the least. We will remain staying in the village, but after years of loyal skiing at Powderhorn, maybe it's time to check out the other competitive hills. They both have discounted tickets available also. Sorry Powderhorn, it was fun, but time for a change.
