Compact, traditional, friendly resort.
Low altitude often limits skiing.
A real gem - with a history of skiing reaching back over 100yrs. Lots of space for beginner and intermediate skiiers - I especially enjoy the ski from the slopes back into town - snow permitting, a good way of wearing out the dogs!
If you can ski blues then the route over to Super-Besse is in your grasp - which trebles the number of routes you can ski.
Catering is traditional to the area - a plate of Truffarde fairly sticks to your ribs and keeps you going all day proper "farmer food" with bags of carbs.
It is a popular family resort, if you can visit out of the school holiday period - if you can't, then book any lessons needed a few months in advance.
