great beginner terrain, VERY friendly staff
main lodge in a wierd place, tiny bit crowded at main lift
Our 6&4 yr old boys are getting the feel of skiing, and aren't happy to just ski beginner terrain anymore. B'nut has nice, wide open beginner and intermediate runs that give them a chance to ski real runs. I have read a few reviews suggesting the terrain, particularly the advanced terrain, isn't challeenging enough, but if your looking to get into some advanced skiing, you should realize Butternut isn't the place for you. That said, for anyone looking to have a recreational day of skiing where a full variety of skiiers can have fun for a day, Butternut offers enough to most skill levels. We've spent alot of time at Jiminy Pk, which is good too, but we are leaning toward Butternut because the terrain suits their ability level so well. If you're looking for an easy place to take kids for a day trip, Butternuit is very good.
