Full review

I've been skiing for a little over 10 seasons, and I've skied Sunday River more than anywhere else. I enjoy the terrain, provided that the conditions are decent. They make a ton of snow, so even when it's bad, it's ok. Great views of the White Mountains and western Maine from almost everywhere. South Ridge is EXTREMELY crowded, slow skiing is a must here. Glades are a blast, for more difficult ones, try some of the trails on Oz, otherwise, Blind Ambition, and Last Tango are personal faves with plenty of decent stashes when everywhere else is worn thin. Pricey lift tickets, lodging, and food are setbacks, although, the staff are very helpful and nice to everyone. If there is plenty of snow, check out Bim's Whim off the Locke lift. White Heat is ok when it isn't icy. Don't fall trying to go down Agony, or Caramba unless you want to get laughed at. Decent nightlife, plenty of fun people around. Didn't enjoy the Phoenix as much as everyone hyped it up, lousy service. Certainly worth checking out.
