The rain did some damage to the snow, it was icy corn chunks sat am but softened up in the afternoon. There where some bare and super icy spots which you expect for spring skiing. I'm a boarder so skiiers may report different conditions. should be great when the temps soften the ice and snow.
Skied Saddleback two days on March 20th & 21st. Wanted to ski the 22nd as well, but strong winds shut down the mountain. This is our favorite mountain in NE now. Plentiful snow this year, superb grooming, friendly lift crews, no lift lines, beautiful day lodge, great runs the entire mountain! Classics all - Supervisor, Tightline, Casablanca, Red Devil, Blue Devil, Silver Doctor, Professor, Jane Craig, love them all!!!
sneaky powder day as the forecasted rain was a mix at the base but all snow above the t-bar. muleskinner was superb. plenty of snow in the trees. if you are thinking about heading to saddleback I would highly recommend. still tons of snow. where are all the people? hopefully they did not give up on the mountain bc it's mid winter conditions right now
Welp. We are down to 3 lifts open (4 if you count the surface lift...) and one of these is at white cap mountain which is now inaccessible except by shuttle. So not the best day. Still cold, windy, and icy. Still hoping for a better tomorrow...
