friendly people, short lines
expensive food, poorly designed additions
I've been skiing at Shawnee Peak since I was little, and my dad and his siblings use to do the same when they were kids. I go during vacations and ski when I can, even if the weather is'nt the best, but I don't go if it's horrible. I've seen a lot of changes, some good (new trails) and some bad (not a big fan of the condos on the trail, and the design of the new addition is lacking common sense in parts), but it's my favorite mountain so far, out of the 6 or so I've been to. The best part is how nice all the staff are. Lift opperators, ski instructors, cashiers, they're all very friendly. The lines are pretty decent too, and usually fairly short. To me, the worst parts are the prices of food at the cafeteria, the annoying renovations and ice beneath the snow (but the last one is hard to prevent, it's just part of New England winter :/)
But overall, Shawnee peak is pretty awesome, eventhough there are things they could do better. Plus the skiing, on nice days is wicked good.
