Great familiy mountain with a good variety of terrain. The lift ticket prices make it a great value for a family. Awesome views, excellent lodge and food, friendly staff. However, having skied this mountain for the last 5 years, they have finally reached the limit on lift lines and lodge capacity. The Rangeley Double lines are way too long after 10am on weekends -20 to 25 minutes isn't uncommon. And eating lunch between 11:30 and 1pm is very difficult. Don't get me wrong - I still go and it's our favorite place to ski, but I hope they replace the double chair next year and expand the lodge. Ski early to avoid lines and use the T-bar to bypass the Rangeley Double when lines get long. The Kennebago Quad has short lines and some excellent, but more difficult, terrain. The beginner area is one of the best I have seen if you are new to skiing. A very gentle pitch and plenty of terrain to ski.
