If you haven't skied Saddleback in the last few years, you will be in for a real treat if you go there. It is probably my favorite ski area. If Maine is "the way life should be," then skiing at Saddleback is the way skiing should be.
People are friendly and the skiing is relatively uncrowded. The best part is the value. You can get "big mountain" skiing at a price much lower than other big mountains. The new quad off the top accesses some awesome terrain.
It can be a little "breezy" for the last minute or so of the chair ride on a typical Maine winter day. but that is a small price to pay for everything that is Saddleback.
The "new" lodge is very nice and the food there is great and is reasonably priced too.
I am looking forward to trying the new Casablanca glade.
