Full review

Mount Abram is one of those gems of a local hill that nearly everybody passes by on the way to Sunday River. Relaxed, friendly, and surprisingly varied and challenging terrain for a smaller mountain. As long as you are not a monster resort, big mountain bigot, you will love skiing here. For those of you who long for the gentler days of skiing past, Mt. Abram will make you feel at home. Technology (no laser scanners at the lift line to slow everything down, my particular peeve)and glitz are refreshingly absent. I skied here last February and enjoyed one of my best days ever on the slopes. Sandwiched between days at Wildcat and Atttitash, I can honestly say I enjoyed my day here more than at the big mountains. The Bullwinle/Dudley DoRight inspired trail names are a hoot (for those of us old enough to remember) and I dare you to find a better pizza on-mountain anywhere!
