One of the major ski areas of Lower Austria and a site for Ladies World Cup Slalom races, Semmering has some excellent facilities including accommodation right up to the five-star Jugendstilhotel Panhaus. Semmering is about an hour's drive south of Vienna in Lower Austria and is therefore a popular ski resort for residents of the capital. Osthang is the toughest run in town.
