Full review

Just back from a week in Livigno, and whilst the 5 hour transfer was a bit of a nightmare, the resort really is worth it. Our hotel was located at the top end of the village backing on to the piste, but it really wouldn't matter where your hotel is as there is an excellent, frequent free bus service covering the whole of the village and linking the pistes on either side of the valley. Would imagine it would be a great place for a beginner as there's plenty of nursey slopes, however as a more intermediate skier myself (4th year) it had some excellent reds and not too challenging blacks where I've really built on my confidence and speed. The pistes were in create condition - loads of snow and didn't feel crowded at all - sometimes I was the only one on them! Would recommend it and would even head back there maybe in a few years once I've tried out a few other resorts.
