Livigno in Northern Italy has been fully open for a month now and currently has a foot of snow on lower slopes, with three-feet-six-inches on the higher runs. All 32 lifts and 115km of slopes, including the snowpark, are open.

Travel writer Claire Walter just returned from a tour of the Alps and some of the biggest names in skiing.
