Today was actually quite amazing at Heavenly. We started out on the California side and crossed over to Nevada through some bad wind. But once on the NV side, Orion and the Big Dipper were amazing all the way to lunchtime. Headed back to CA and ended the day early down Ridge Run
Not good but not bad either. If you're an advanced skier stay home. Main runs are fine due to snow making. Limited back side was icy. Overall it was just nice to be out. Don't expect much and you'll have a good time.
Decent coverage, a few patches of dirt showing, icy through the trees. Slushy at the bottom before noon, few hours later it was slushy at the top also. Better than ice at least. Spring jacket weather - 38 to 42 today. Half pipe was not open.
1.28.15 - some fresh powder (3inches?)on top of grandview express made the run fun for a change in sierra at tahoe. Mid mountain down to the lifts are soft packed snow to slushy snow (afternoon).
1.29.15- hard pack snow. Icy and slushy down the slopes. Hoping for Feb snow..
